Question 1

How does the dual-gate engine analysis work?

Accepted Answer

Unlike simplistic engines that only measure centipawn swings, Chess Advisor uses a dual-gate algorithm: both centipawn loss AND win-probability drop must cross strict thresholds. This prevents false blunder alerts when you make a solid, practical move in an overwhelmingly winning position.

Question 2

How accurate is the Board Vision camera scan?

Accepted Answer

Our custom YOLOv8 model achieves 99.4% mAP50 detection accuracy across all 12 piece types. Simply snap a photo of any physical chess set or textbook diagram, and it generates the digital FEN string in approximately 50ms.

Question 3

How do personalized spaced-repetition puzzles work?

Accepted Answer

Instead of generic puzzle databases, our engine isolates the exact tactical blunders you made in your synced games (forks, pins, hanging pieces). It schedules them at optimal memory intervals (Day 1, Day 3, Day 7) until you demonstrate 100% mastery.

Question 4

Can I connect both Chess.com and Lichess accounts?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Enter your usernames once, and Chess Advisor automatically fetches, indexes, and categorizes your games by opening, color, and phase with zero manual PGN uploading required.

Question 5

What tools are included for coaches and academies?

Accepted Answer

Academy owners and coaches get a unified command center: multi-student roster monitoring, cohort accuracy benchmarking, leak detection across opening repertoires, and one-click PDF parent progress reports.
